In the Beginning God Created...the BLOG?

Do I really want my thoughts, prayers, wishes and heartaches on this thing called...my blog? I guess so. Here goes.

My hopes and prayers:

  • That God would use this place to bring you encouragement, hope and inspiration.

  • That you would be informed about the portable shower/hair cutting ministry my husband and I desire to launch in Mazatlan Mexico to the homeless and destitute.

  • We are in the very beginning planning stages of building a portable shower to take into poor desolate places outside Mazatlan. We we will be contacting La Vina Church, (The Vineyard) in downtown Mazatlan in the next few days. We have been visiting Mazatlan for the past several years and love La Vina. They have a tremendous influence and many outreach programs. The one that captures our heart are the feeding programs to the workers in the local dump, and families.

  • That you would be informed and pray for the FBI Parent Workshop Ministry and my new book: Cracking the Parenting Code (January 2009, New Hope Publishers, Alabama)

  • Living Way Fellowship in Sandy Oregon is hosting a new Five Week FBI Parent Workshop Monday evenings in September. Participants become investigators into their lives, how they were parented and how they are parenting. You can check our FBIparent.com for more information.

Four days ago I finished the final edit of my book with my editor Randy Bishop. Whew, what a workout. I've been working on this intense labor of love since September 2001. Too see it almost become a reality is amazing. It is the grace of God! My family and friends can't beleive that I stuck with it this long.

    • That you would be encouraged to be all that you can be...not by joining the army, but by experiencing God's grace, love and adventure!

I turned 50 this year and learned to surf! Yes, I did get up...and fell down, many, many times. I surprised myself. I told myself I didn't care how fat I was when I turned 50, I was going to do something I've never done. That thing was surfing in Hawaii. Now, what is something new you've always wanted to do?
